Big Bear Race Fans

Great example of late 50s and early 60's leather mc jackets and helmets. I'm guessing these are spectators. They just don't have that competitor look to them.

So Cal Club Roll Call

Here's a partial list of social/competition clubs from So Cal during the 40's and 50's. Yes it's printed on a T-Shirt. Although not a complete list, it sure does cover a lot of the clubs. The NLAMC is on the list. Guess the Wing Nuts didn't make it.

Now that's sliding!!!!!

John Hately

I just got back from an accidental meeting with John Hately. Turns out we are neighbors. I've never heard a bad thing about him and I'm here to say it's true. He is a true gentleman and an all around nice guy. He gave me a little tour of his shop and we spoke fondly of the "old days." We talked about bikes and the NLAMC. He even helped me to tune the carb on my T100. John, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to bench race with this Wing Nut! Hope to see you around.

Russ Good slogging it in the mud off of Mulholland Dr

I'd really like to know were this was. Mulholland Dr property is pretty expensive. There is most likely a fancy mansion built on this site today.

Hilltopper MC member Paul Rasmussen

Here endith the ride.

Well I just got home on our Wing Nuts ride to the beach. It was a nice change from our usual ride. Not to mention a change from the triple digit weather. First stop was at the famous Rock Store. Lots of douches there as usual, but I did get to see Juan Parker. Always a pleasure. From there it was up an over the coastal mountains, dropping down on Pacific Coast Hwy. Then a little jaunt over to Neptune's Net for fried sea food at county line. After lunch, back south on the Coast Hwy to Topanga. Half way back up over the hill it got hot. Really Hot! Africa Hot! Keep going until we reached the center of hot hell back in the SFV. Good time had by all (I hope). No major mechanical issues. We missed you Wes. Dave who? Thanks to all that came. See you next time.

The caption says it all...almost

Can't We All Just Get Along?

Saw this on ebay and it made me go "hmmmmm." First thought; not enough fuel. Second thought; maybe? Anyone (DOC) know anything about this heads. There is a really cool posting on ebay how the current owner beat out Jesse James on buying them. Not enough info for me. It's got new cases and all that jazz, but anyone have any history on these heads? (The title was an attempt at humor using a quote from Rodney King in response to the Los Angeles riots and his questioning why the mixed races in a culturally diverse city could not live in harmony. I meant it in a manner where motorcyclist with English vs American brand loyalty could unite as do the Amals on the Panhead. Better chance with the bike guys at least they have something in common.)That was satyre. Am I still on morphine?

New Feature for Wing Nut viewers

I've kinda tried this before, but we'll try it again a little more formal. To the right we will have a SWAP MEET section. If you've got something for sale send us a brief description and a contact email and I'll post it. It will be our own swap meet. Just for our group. The Wing Nuts are not responsible for any claims or anything like that. A dating service for parts if you will. We'll give it a shot and see how she works.

We Ride!

In case you don't look to the right on your monitor, perhaps due to an old cycle injury, I thought I'd post this right down the middle. We are going for a ride on Sunday July 19th. We are meeting at Ventura Bl and Topanga Cyn in the Starbuck's lot. We will ride towards the coast this time. I'm thinking we will take off around 9am. All are invited! Let us know if you are coming so we don't leave without you. And someone let Kiyo know!

Yellow Jacket(s) MC

This awesome picture came from our new friend "Jackpot" a 13 Rebel from Oklamoma. I still nedd a good clean close up picture of this patch. It was a clown riding a yellow jacket. This is the only picture I have of it and being that it's behind glass, it's pretty rough.
