Thornton, Colorado is one of the early suburbs outside Denver to the North.
Jane Russell's brother was the developer for the area, and there is a street named Russell Blvd. in Thornton that her brother named in honor of his sister.
She came here to cut the ribbon to officially open the city back then, and also got the first "key to the city" in a big ceremony.
