For yer info, The Pierce was the first American four as well as they made technically advanced motorcycles for their time. They where oil and fueltank in frame, hence the dimensions of piping used.

Jedd, It held the gas and oil. Thus the larger then normal frame tube size. The single was alot more dependable than the four cylinder model they made which was fairly fragile. Great photo and pretty rare.

How come it always takes me saying something stupid to get everyone out of the woodwork. Oh well I sacrifice to learn.
