Von Dutch Chopper

This Triumph just sold on ebay for around $3200. It's a Von Dutch creation with authentication and the like. Does this seem low to anyone else? Has the Von Dutch craze ended? I might have actually bought this bike if I had any idea it would go so cheap. A few years ago this thing would have gone for five figures. It just goes to show, you never know. So keep hitting the swap meets and looking in the barns, cuz there still are good finds out there. Just share the wealth!

I think this says a lot about how much we have changed. The raffle bike is two years old. It's used! and I'll bet the winner was happier than a pig in mud. I would be even if I won an 07 H-D. Seems like (almost) everyone today expects free stuff and the best. "Oh I won a brand new Sportster? I kinda wanted a Road King." "I guess I'll take it." YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED! EARN IT! BE GREATFUL! Sorry just needed to vent.

End of an era

Well it is finally happening. Van Nuys Harley Davidson is closing it's doors this month. I think it's the last connection to the hey day of Van Nuys Bl Cruising. I bought a couple of bikes there over the years and it's kinda sad to see a smaller shop close up to make way for a mega HD store. Van Nuys HD is moving north and will be Santa Clarita HD. It will be big and freeway accessible just like the Motor Company likes. Bet they will still be out of any part I may need.
