That machine used to be owned by Sam Arena. That's one of 25 OHV 50 horsepower twins that ruled Class A hillclimbing in the late 20's and early 30's. I can tell it was he's because it has the Indian Pony Scout forks with the 20's HD rear fender. Joe Petrali and Gene Rhyne won several National titles on these machines. That's why HD and Indian had 8-valve hillclimbers and still very rarely beat these on the slants. I've been lucky enough to see about half those made. Great photo!
