Nürburgring in Germany, probably '30s, the castle Nürburg to be seen in the background. This "North Curve" disappeared when the new GP-track was opened in 1984 and the cut off bit made the old Nordschleife lap shorter, down from 22.8kms to 20.6...

The current race control tower is about 50 metres behind where photographer stood.
