Home built. That looks like Tim Graber's original 1940 knuck he got from the original owner's family. You can see where the braces were brazed to the center tree. Not Hd or after market.
Looks like the bar on the left was bent (probably from dropping it). So they pushed it out, and welded the bar on to keep it from springing back in. One looked dumb, so they did the other side to. Could be why...?

That's what i was thinking. I took the picture at last years El Camino show. cool bike.
