"Bus" Schaller Fuel Injected Knucklehead!
How cool is this! I like vintage race and speed modifications. They are not often the prettiest of modifications, but it's there crudeness and remarkable engineering that makes them so neat. We've visited Bus Schaller before, so here's a little more for the file. And by the way, the first one to do this with their motor wins a free Wing Nuts T-shirt. Now how's that for motivation!

Slightly off topic - that old picture of the Santa Ynez Valley Garage looks almost exactly like the Union 76 gas station in Downieville, CA.
It's located at the southwest corner of CA-49/Nevada St.
Grumbler if you are anywhere near it, take a picture and sent it our way.
Did he ever make it pass Rollie's 150mph?
You can use street view on google maps to view it, but there's a huge SUV parked in front of the gas pumps. I'll check with a friend to see if he can swing by there as I'm in Boise.
man, imagine doin a buck forty on that.... HUGE brass ones! Very cool and what a talented guy.
Bus Schaller was my husbands grandfather and my childrens great grandfather.
I inherited lots of pictures since my husbands passing.
Really cool pictures would love to post a few and see if anyone can tell me anything.
I worked with Bus's Nephew the late George Green at the Mustang factory in san Jose. . , he hand build a B & S lawn mower engine, pumped it from 5 to 19 horsepower His kids won a lot of mini bike races and george manufactured disc brake parts for go karts and raced them all over calif in the 70's
