1938 Knucklehead

So i rarely post on the clubs blog. But i decided i would share a picture of my newest bike. This picture was taken by Scott Pommier this past weekend at the Born Free bike show. I built the bike over the last few months and got it up and running in just raw steel and no paint. I rode it for a month to work all the kinks out of the bike and on sunday i tore into the bike and pulled it completely apart to have everything chromed and have Harpoon do the paint work. The plain is to have the bike back together and done in time for the Grand National Roadster show. Hope you like, i will post more pics when its all finished. And oh yeah thats a 4 over VL springer

For Sale 1939 BSA M20

I'm putting this up for a friend. He's trying to sell his 39 BSA Military bike. It's very complete and runs. I know he is looking for a Pan or Shovel Chopper/Bobber, so a trade might be in the stars. If interested contact Flathead Jedd and I'll put you in touch with the owner.

Period Perfect Triumph Bobber

This bike was spotted at El Camino. I've seen it around and really enjoy it. Story is that all the modifications were done by the owner, when he bought it new in 50 or 51. It's got the good stuff, Flanders bars and nacelle risers (rare), Bates P-Pad, MCM (?)Pipes and Cocktail Shakers with removable end caps, PK Tail Light, Sprung Hub. The only thing missing is a Flanders Battery Box Cover. By the way, I'm looking for one.

Theo Ozen Lakes Bike

I could use a little help. I'm trying to track down information on the history of this bike as well as any information on the Theo Ozen. If anyone has anything for me it would be greatly appreciated. Also would love to know if his family is around to speak with. Please help to document the history of the bike and Theo.

Pattie Brownell...Stripper....Racer

This little clipping was sent to us from a friend in Scotland. He has horded it a way for years, afraid of showing it to the world. Fear of being judged for the love of beauty and the beast. Let him know it's all right. Let him know that a stripper that races motorcycles is AWESOME!

Joe Leonard sportin' the Bates Oil Vest

There is so much I love about this picture. A legendary racer in Joe Leonard. Missing my Sportster a little. Bates Oil sponsor, manufactured by our friend Bob McMillen. And the cool racing silks, that became very popular in the late 50's through the early 70's. These vests were offered by many companies including, well Bates. Did I mention that these race vests are now available through the NLAMC? Well I did now.

Knuckle, 4 valve, open drive train racer

This was one of the more interesting motors I saw at El Camino. I'm not totally sure of the motor, but it appears to have a Knuckle top end and an earlier bottom end. Talk amongst yourselves and let me know. Doc Sprocket I'm sure you know this bike it's from your neck of the woods.

Don't Forget the Rebuild DVD!!! All the gearhead porn you can handle

The King on his K

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Sportster K Model fan myself, but it looks as though the pretty lady is saying, "E. Why don't you give me a holler when you get a BIG Twin. I ain't gonna be seen on no paper boy bike."

More Schaller Cams

Doesn't looking at old price list just make you sick?

The Triumph Trophy

The Trophy really was the first purpose factory built dual sport bike. Many Harleys and Indians were modified for the track both on and off road, but the Trophy came ready to rock in both venues. Now feel free to disagree and question my Harley loyalty.

Doc is this the feller?

Arizona to Davenport

3600 miles and 7 days on the road just to go to a swap meet! Wing Nut friend Billy is one bad hombre! Billy you are my hero. By the way the sweaters are in and look great. Give me a little time for lettering and it's on it's way. You earned it.

Very Nice Triumph Speed Twin

And so it begins.

If you look closely into his eyes you can see he has the disease. He will be a biker for life! My first bike was no where near as cool. I had a yellow moped. Up hill you actually had to pedal to help the motor. My first big bike was a Suzuki something or another that Chopper Dave and I bought together. It was something like $200. I paid $10 and he paid the rest. I remember dropping it a lot. One day I asked Dave where the bike was and he said, "I'm not sure." He had parked it and forgot where. When he finally remembered it was gone. Stolen or impounded. Oh well, we never did get around to registering it.

Rams MC

I can't remember who, someone was asking me about Rams pictures at the Primer Nationals. I found this one amongst my collection. I don't have any more info on it, so if someone recognizes the rider, location or year, please share the info.

Leg Show

Pretty cool old pic of a bare legged lady on an Indian. The sad part is I found this and a few more pics on a leg fetish site not a motorcycle site.

Hockie Brothers

Well Larry do you recognize any one in this picture? It was taken on Catalina Island during the Grand Prix.

A Few From SentiMENTAL Larry

Catalina Grand Prix..Starting line May 1957

One thing I can say about the Catalina Grand Prix is WICKED COOL! I just got back from New England so it seems appropriate. This could have been our Isle of Man. Too bad it didn't last. The reunion a couple of years ago was a nice idea, but $70 to take the boat without the bike can be tough, but with shipping a bike, get outta here!

Looks like the Beetles have it.

Sorry Black Rebels, but it seems like the majority wants to ride with the Beetles. So just walk away,, no no no don't look back....just walk away.
