Ok, here's my request..well more of a plea. I need pics of the lost era of motorcycling. What is that lost era you ask? The 1950s and early 60's. There is pleanty of picture of earlier stuff as you can see by my postings. Post "Easyriders" choppers are easy to find examples of. What I really want to find are pictures of custom motorcycles from about 1954 to 1964. There seems to be little photographic evidence of these bikes. With custom car and hot rods gracing the pages of the automotive literature of the day the bikes seem to be lost. The samples are few and far between. It wasn't until the Roth Chopper mags that we really see what was going on. I want to put together a time line for custom bikes. Something to show the progression from "bobber" to "chopper." So I need your help. The best way is through private family photos. Pictures that catch the "real" bikes out on the streets during this time period. I need to bridge the gap. Help! If you got something respond to the posting. Don't let the memories die!
Thanks
